About Widener University

Widener University was originally founded in 1821 as an all boys preparatory school in Wilmington, Delaware.  In 1989, the school moved to Chester, PA and became the Pennsylvania Military College. Widener did not earn it’s name until 1972. Today, Widener has over 6,000 students enrolled (undergraduate and graduate), with two additional law school campuses.
